When aliens decide to take a few specimens, they inadvertently pick on the wrong three guys. Jasper, known as the ghost to his friends, rescues them from a specimen gathering ship.
There had been no warning. The three were hiking along the ridge trail on a camping trip. It was getting dusk and they were looking for a good place to camp. He had suggested the place where he was now crouching. Buddy and Hector wanted to go up the trail and get closer to the top of the ridge. He was a little mad at his two buddies and was hanging back when the beams blinked on and came towards them. His reaction was an immediate run and dive for cover. Buddy and Hector just stood looking up at the beams as if they were fireworks; really slow on judgment.
